Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency
As you are all well aware that the entire Global Population is in
the grips of the Novel Corona Virus – Covid 19 resulting in a medical emergency
worldwide. Almost all the nations are in a lockdown including India
to contain and prevent further escalation of this deadly
Our Government has been extremely proactive and vigilant to
this threat and has initiated various measures and announced relief
packages for it’s citizens and the
industry in these dire circumstances when almost the entire
commercial activity is in a state of lockdown resulting in hardships
for our nation’s factory workers, daily wagers, poor and destitute.
However, our Government needs your support not only in spirit
but also in kind to combat this pandemic. The
Prime Minister's Citizen
Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund) was
created on 28 March 2020 following the COVID-19
pandemic in India. The fund will be used for combating,
containment and relief efforts against the coronavirus outbreak and
similar pandemic like situations in the future.

Government fight this pandemic and provide security to the poor,
destitute and needy.

qualify for a full amount of tax
exemption under (80G) Income
Tax Act, 1961. The Ministry
of Corporate Affairs has announced that contributions to
the PM CARES fund would be counted as part of the company’s
corporate social responsibility with additional CSR being offset in

The GOI has desired that EPCH members contribute to the PM CARES
Fund and the EPCH share all such details with the Government.

the EPCH is making a contribution towards the PM CARE Fund and the
Officers AND Staff in the EPCH is also separately contributing one
day salary in the Fund.
